Tappahannock Tornado Donation Information

12376775_10205155690723146_2957946783935569218_nThis isn’t photography related, but I wanted to help. I am creating this post as a helpful resource  for people trying to help out and donate. This post will be updated frequently as information comes to me.


Excepting donations-

The old Southern States building in Tappahannock– 1616 Tappahannock Blvd, Tappahannock, VA 22560.

    Along with food, water, clothing, etc., they are asking for shelving for supplies,  trash bags for clean up. Also, personal hygiene items…. toothbrushes/toothpaste, shampoo, soap, gloves for cleanup. Paper products- plates, napkins, paper towels, plastic forks/knives. Cleaning products, blankets and pillows. CLOSING AT 5pm ON 2/25

EVB-  EVB are offering all of their branches as a drop off location to collect supplies for our neighbors in need. ALSO monetary donations (checks payable to the American Red Cross)

Fusion Fitness– 1378 Tappahannock Blvd Tappahannock, Virginia

    Fusion Fitness is opening it’s doors for collection of goods for shelters. WILL BE OPEN  5pm-9pm ON 2/25

Essex Inn– (804) 443-9900

The Essex Inn is DONATING rooms to tornado victims. If your home was badly damaged or destroyed please contact them!

King William Volunteer Fire and Rescue Station 1 – 7936 Richmond-Tappahannock HWY Aylett Va

King William Volunteer Fire and Rescue is acting as a donation location drop off.

Essex Bank-

Accepting monetary donations (checks payable to the American Red Cross)


 Per Tappahannock Fire Dept. Chief Wert Hayes, Andea Beazley is keeping a list of people who wish to help with debris removal to be called as needed. If you have equipment for this sort of thing and would like to offer help, please inbox her on Facebook to be added to this contact list. 

You may ask Pastor Larry Schools about volunteering at the Southern States donation center, and Shannon Tignor or Heather Hulbert for volunteering at the Fusion Fitness donation center. You may find them at whichever location, just ask what help they need for collecting, sorting, etc., and when.



These are just accounts that I have seen or someone has sent me. GO FUND ME is a great way to help a certain family, GO FUND ME does get a small percentage of the donation! Some of these victims are in the hospital, donations will be needed!

admin - From my understanding yes, it will be open tomorrow. But they do not have power, that is why they are closing early.
